Preschool helps children prepare for the academics of kindergarten at Dayspring.
Dayspring Christian Academy seeks to educate the whole child. At our preschool, we educate according to the Principle Approach methodology. The Principle Approach is America’s historic method of education that was prevalent during the founding era of our nation. Our private preschool program offers:
Introduction to the alphabet. Students learn a Bible hero for each letter of the alphabet, culminating with Bible character day—complete with costume!
Age-appropriate academic lessons woven together and rooted in God’s Word, including:
Guided free play, incorporating principles of self-government, order, and unity.
Circle time, which includes songs, calendar (to review date, patterns, and number order), weather, colors, and Bible stories.
Daily art and craft projects designed to reinforce the history, science, Bible, and literature focus.
In-depth field studies are a vital part of Dayspring’s Principle Approach method of education. The following field studies are offered to our Preschool students:

"I have been very impressed by Dayspring Christian Academy, and here are a few of the reasons why: First of all, I’ve been very impressed by the level of professionalism and care in the staff. I’ll never forget how my son’s preschool teacher cried as she prayed over our kids at preschool graduation. The teachers also hold children to high standards of responsibility. The principle of “self government” is taught at an early age, and a child is taught to understand that they have responsibility for their own actions.
Another thing I love is that children are taught critical thinking and public speaking starting at a young age. In Kindergarten & First Grade, kids memorize poems that they recite in front of the other classes, and by second grade, kids begin writing “orations,” a speech they write themselves on a topic of their choosing, that they present before their classes.
Lastly, I love how they incorporate the teachings of Scripture into all subjects, and how to evaluate life from a Biblical world view. Scripture memory is very important at Dayspring as well.
I’ve never known any other school quite like Dayspring. As a parent, I’ve been very impressed."
